Become a Volunteer (Open Call)— Remote

At Heritage Education Network Belize we are always looking for volunteers who can help our work.

The creative industry has the ability to be applied to any aspect of life. Therefore, volunteers from any background are welcome. We look for people with a go-getter attitude who are willing to share their expertise but also willing to learn new skills from others.

While we accept all volunteers, depending on the the projects we are undertaking, experience in the following areas will be especially helpful.

Qualifications and interests
Archaeology, Education, Tourism, Nature and Biodiversity, Blog writing, IT and/or Social Media management, Marketing, Finance, Business Management, Lawyers

 

Translator/ Interpreter & Content Creator (Multiple Languages)

We are looking for volunteer Translators/Interpreters and bilingual Content Creators to help us transition to a multi-lingual online platform. 

As of now, we are looking for native speakers in the following languages:

  • Yucatec Mayan Translator/Interpreter and Content Creator - Native Speaker

  • Q'eqchi' Mayan Translator/Interpreter and Content Creator - Native Speaker

  • Mopan Mayan Translator/Interpreter and Content Creator - Native Speaker

  • Spanish Translator/Interpreter and Content Creator - Native Speaker

  • Garifuna Translator/Interpreter and Content Creator - Native Speaker

  • Plautdietsch (Mennonite) Translator/Interpreter and Content Creator - Native Speaker

  • Chinese (China/Taiwan) Translator/Interpreter and Content Creator - Native Speaker

  • Kriol Translator/Interpreter and Content Creator - Native Speaker

 

Heritage Highlight Project Manager

We are looking for a volunteer to oversee the Heritage Highlight Project at our NGO.

You don’t have to have a degree but prior experience in project management or involvement with culture and heritage (natural heritage, arts, archaeology etc.) is a plus.

Call for Industry Leaders and Collaborators — Belize & International

As part of our mission, we are always looking for industry leaders and collaborators from the public and private sectors to aid our work.

In our opinion, representing a variety of stakeholders is essential in the successful and sustainable preservation of cultural and natural heritage.

Content Writer (Open Call) – Remote/Belize

We are looking for volunteer Content Writers or aspiring writers to contribute to our Blog and other publications.

Selected Volunteers will work with the whole Heritage Education Network Belize Team (directors, volunteers, project managers and social media managers) and asked to contribute at least one well-researched blog post/article per month.

 

Garifuna Cultural Project Manager

We are looking for a volunteer from the Garifuna community to oversee the Garifuna Cultural Project at our NGO.

You don’t have to have a degree but prior experience in project management or involvement with culture and heritage (natural heritage, arts, archaeology etc.), specifically Garifuna heritage is a plus.
